Werfenweng
Winter in Werfenweng
29 kilometres of slopes with a gondola straight from the village, two cross-country trails, three toboggan runs and free ski-shuttle rides from the station.
Skiing and snowboarding
The Werfenweng ski area has 29 kilometres of slopes. The Ikarus gondola takes you up to the Bischlinghöhe in six minutes. The Dorfbahn Rosnerköpfl starts in the village centre, and from its top station you can reach the rest of the ski area.
- Free travel: Skiers ride the W³ shuttle for free from Werfen, Pfarrwerfen and Bischofshofen stations to the ski area (see Getting there).
- For children and beginners: The Zaglau Arena and the KID'S Snowpark have their own tickets. The snowpark at the Ikarus valley station has eight fun slopes, a covered magic carpet, a small toboggan track and a chill-out area.
- Tickets: There are senior rates and family deals. The Bergbahnen Werfenweng webshop sells tickets with a best-price guarantee; collect them at a ticket machine or the ticket office.
- Ski touring: There is a marked ski touring route with its own ticket.
