Alpin Team Trail: running for people in need
At the ATT charity trail run in Werfenweng, every entry fee goes to people in hardship. The long course covers 50 kilometres and 3,450 metres of climbing, crossing the Grießscharte at almost 2,000 metres.
In late September 2025, Werfenweng hosted the Alpin Team Trail (ATT) again. Organiser Martin Lindinger and his team launched the charity trail-running event in 2022. The idea is simple: run and do some good at the same time. Every entry fee is donated to people who have fallen into hardship and need financial help.
Two courses, both tough

The long course started in Werfenweng at 6:45 on a Saturday morning. According to the race report on xc-run.de, the route includes:
- the Grießscharte pass up to the Werfener Hütte, the highest point of the day at almost 2,000 metres,
- the Sölden Hütte and the Jochriedel ridge, with the summit crosses of the Koreinhöhe and Frommerkogel,
- and near the end, a climb of around 700 metres up the Rattwaldstraße forest road before the final seven kilometres to the finish.
Hundreds of spectators gathered at a hut along the course to cheer the runners on.
Second place for Sabine Wurmsam
xc-run.de athlete Sabine Wurmsam ran the K50 to finish her season and crossed the line as second woman in 7 hours 13 minutes. In her report she praises the demanding courses, the atmosphere, the organisation and above all the charity idea behind the event.
